Our Story

Knowledge is Power

Body By Yauni. Launched in 2020. As if we all didn’t already feel like we woke up in a never ending cross of Jumanji and the Hunger Games, my boyfriend of almost 2 years called me unexpectedly and broke up with me. At that point, I had a choice to make. I peered into the mirror of my life and admitted for the first time in maybe ever, that I did not like what i saw. I had a choice to make: feel sorry for yourself OR get up and make a change for the better. I decided to choose the latter. I’ve pretty much always been a homebody and food has always been a source of comfort for me. I decided to ask myself before scarfing down a double cheeseburger (with no mustard please 😌) - IS THIS HELPING YOU REACH YOUR GOALS? Soon, I applied those questions to every area of my life and I begin to speak kindly to myself. From there, I COMMITTED to take things one day at a time. One meal at a time. One workout at a time. One goal in mind: Get through 30 minutes of some sort of exercise a day, even if it’s a quick walk in your neighborhood. Turn on your music and turn the world off. Grab the kids if you have to and make it a party! Don’t let anything deter you from putting YOU first. I know it seems like you’re everything to everybody. But YOU are included in that everybody and YOU cannot pour from an empty cup.
